the quest for excellence. no matter how good we are, there will always be someone better. perhaps its natural talent, or sheer hard work. whatever it is, theyve managed to make their mark and take their skill to a whole 'nother playing field. we cant really blame our circumstances. Some are naturally born with the talent. Some have the innate drive and discipline in them to really go all out to pursue their dreams. Some have had more opportunity in life. i guess it comes down to
how much we really want it. Passion is what will get us there. Note that theres a clear difference between passion and wishful thinking. Passion is doing whatever it takes to get us there. To be willing to put in the hard work if necessary. it can get depressing sometimes when you see people perform and youre like, dam. i wish i could play/perform that way. its good to set high standards for yourself. but we shouldnt get down on ourselves when we see someone better. instead, it should motivate us to constantly improve.
hahaa ook. i just had to get that out of my system!:) heh guess im kinda telling this to myself also. Feel better ok friend (you know who you are). i believe in you!
ive had no mood to study since 207 ended! its like all the steam has gone out of me. ive 3 papers next week..problem is, i dont knwo how to study for them! my music paper, which i do need to know some theory, just that, they can test virtually anything so its quite hard to pinpoint what to study. For linguistics, ive SU-ed it!ahaha so cannot really be bothered. And gv17.. haha the notes are quite little, so i keep thinking ive got quite some time to study it. nevertheless, i spent quite abit of time at my gv17 tutor's house tonight so i really should get some studying done. haha adios for now!
